First Presbyterian to Host Work-Camp Groups
As part of our our goal to "embrace our downtown location and its opportunities for mission and ministry," the Session has adopted a plan to host work camp groups in the summer. A Work Camp Implementation Task Force has been created, and is moving toward the goal of hosting two youth work camps in the summer of 2010. Showers are being installed, and rooms identified and prepared for sleeping, cooking, and lounging. The Task Force is meeting with local social service agencies to discuss various kinds of work that would benefit low income households in the community.

Mike Lonsinger, Jeff Mitchell, Denver Atkinson, Michael Ann Gainer, Janet Wilson and Jack Kaull.
